A fun adventure filled with humor, mystery, and time travel. Tomorrow is the Great Cake Bake Festival and Pinkie Pie can’t wait. But when she wakes up the next day, she’s surprised to find that tomorrow is the Great Cake Bake Festival. Then tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. Will the festival ever come?
Each page is its own comic that makes up the larger story. It fits perfectly with the show and is consistent with the various characters’ personalities and speech styles. A great tie in to Friendship is Magic with a Dr. Who-style theme.
Includes a nice mix of characters both from the show (the Mane 6, the CMC) as well as new characters such as Dr. Hooves, Star Dancer, and Professor What.
The artwork was really fun. It was cool to see the manga-fication of everypony. At the back is a short sketch gallery of various characters.
This is the first of the series I’ve read. There are references to what happened in the first, but it was still an enjoyable read without having read the previous book. Will definitely be reading the other books.
