This is such a sweet story. Ponjirou is a stage actor hoping to make it big. His confidence grows when he receives fan gifts from a fancy patisserie. Konnosuke is a dedicated pastry chef who wants to be the best. He has a hard time opening up about his feelings. When the two come together, they bring out the best in each other.

There are some discussions in the beginning about dieting to be more successful but they don’t have a lasting impact on the rest of the story. For the most part, Ponjirou is shown enjoying and appreciating food. He appears content with his body and focuses on its functionality rather than how others see him.
I loved seeing Ponjirou and Konnosuke connect. Can’t wait to read about for their budding friendship… and maybe more? Unsure if there is meant to be a romantic connection here or just a strong friendship. Either way Ponjirou and Konnosuke as absolutely adorable and I love them.
