A fun, high-energy story about the power of engineering, creative thinking, and problem solving. Mazie loves using engineering to help solve her family’s problems. But when she encounters a problem that seems too big to handle on her own, her family puts their heads together to engineer a solution.
Fun blend of science and whimsy. I loved the color palette of the artwork. Very engaging. The visuals of Mazie’s Rube-Goldberg-style inventions were really fun to follow.
At the back is a bit of information about the six simple machines (pulley, wheel and axel, lever, inclined plane, wedge, and screw) and how they were used in the story.
A nice introduction to simple machines, engineering, and STEM. A fun next step for fans of Rosie Revere, Engineer.
