A heartwarming exploration of grief, regret, family, and love. From those who didn’t express themselves before it was too late to those who feel they’ve wronged their loved ones, Café Funiculi Funicula gives customers a chance to resolve unfinished business with those they’ve lost. Though they can’t change the present, sometimes coming face-to-face with their loved one again is just what they need to move on.

Started this without realizing it was part of a series. I still enjoyed the concept and there was enough explanation to figure out previously established events. Definitely works as a standalone.

Each chapter contains its own separate story. I found them comfortably repetitive. All the customers go through similar experiences of disbelief, hesitancy, and frustration, and the rules are explained throughout. But it was a quick read that nicely balanced difficult emotions with soothing resolutions.

At times the translation felt a little awkward, but overall it was a really sweet read.

A cozy story with plenty of heart. I enjoyed this one overall and plan to read some of the previous books.
