4 stars

A conversational book about how to be more inclusive and how our differences can bring us closer.

Together Ashton Mota and Rebekah Bruesehoff discuss what inclusion means and different ways to be inclusive. While they emphasize their experiences as trans youth, they also use examples such as moving to a new place, coming to class late, trying different foods, and playing games to show why inclusion is important and how it makes communities stronger.

The conversational tone of the book makes it very engaging along with the visual presentation of the text using different text sizes, layouts, and backgrounds. The book shares kid-friendly, relevant information along with a helpful intro and outro for adults.

A great place to start when discussing and thinking about inclusion.
