I received a copy of this book from Goodreads in exchange for an honest review.

This is an amazing and beautiful book in more ways than one. First of all, each chapter contains at least one full-color picture, all of which are awesome. The detail in them is superb and the artwork is simply breathe-taking. Secondly, the story itself is so unique and creative. Safronoff creates a whole new universe with new creatures, a new lingo, and an intriguing new adventure.

I was really pulled into this story. At times it was a little difficult to follow, partly due to the fact that the universe is structured so differently from our own. The descriptions are great, but sometimes not all that clear.

While this is marketed as all “all-ages” adventure, the ending does get a bit violent. While the descriptions are not graphic, there are a few mild fight scenes that may not be appropriate for very young readers. Also, at times the language used is a little advanced, which may be difficult for some young readers. This is probably a good book for late-middle school to high school readers.
