Overall, a good introduction to the fascinating person that is Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This is an interesting book that combines the non-fiction element of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s actual life with the pop culture phenomenon that is Notorious RBG. This is great, because it appeals to a younger audience who may otherwise know nothing about this amazing individual. I’ll admit the writing of the book was mediocre. It was a bit disjointed and a little hard to follow at times. But it got the job done. I listened to the audiobook format of this book, but kind of wish I had read the physical copy, because it was a little difficult to follow at times. There are a lot of quotations in the text and sometimes I found myself like, “Wait, who’s talking again?” Or the narrator would start saying something, then attribute the quote to someone when I didn’t even realize it was a quote. It was just a little confusing not having the words in front of me to sort out what was going on. But for the most part, I enjoyed the book and loved learning more about how and why Ruth Bader Ginsburg is such an amazing person. |
