A good read for fans of superheroes. This book features members of the Justice League including Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman. They team up against Black Manta to save the day. Overall, a good action-packed read.

The only problem I had with this book was the number of idioms and various sayings that I don’t think kids would understand. This is a classic superhero story so there are a lot of witty sayings and snappy comebacks, but I don’t think a lot of kids would be familiar with such sayings as “bigger fish to fry”, “taking the world by storm”, and “found my sea legs”. I usually love puns, but when there is a different terrible pun almost on each page, it gets a bit annoying. The illustrations are good, but I don’t think that kids would relate to the awkward dialogue.

Definitely more for older kids. But I did like the focus on teamwork and Aquaman’s concern for not hurting the sea-life in the area.
