Cute introduction to Vampirina. Going into this, I didn’t really know anything about Vampirina. One of the kids I work with has some of the figurines so that was all I had to go on. This is a nice introduction. It goes through the main characters and Vee’s initial struggles to fit in when her family moved to Pennsylvania. I was a little confused how Edgar can’t figure out Vee is a vampire (she is literally blue/purple, has fangs, and her pigtails look like bat wings?), but I can see how it would lead to interesting plots in the show. The illustrations are simple, but nice. Great message at the end about accepting differences and being yourself. Overall, a very nice book.
