A nice retelling of Snow White, featuring some ponies. I liked the unique twists on the original such as Snow Pony extending an invitation for the miniature ponies to come with her instead of just leaving them. There are a decent amount of things that are clearly written for adults rather than children (tax attorney pony, using the stable as a summer home, turning it into a bed and breakfast), but there is enough kid stuff for young audiences to enjoy. I’ll admit, the glue reference was a bit much for a modern children’s book. I liked the actual ending, but trying to play off the dark glue joke just wasn’t necessary. Nice pictures. I liked the illustrations, especially all of the details of the braids. I kind of wish Snow Pony would braid my hair because even with two opposable thumbs, I still can’t braid as well as she can.
