Fantastic non-fiction read for young readers. This is a Level 3 book for those ready to read on their own. There is a lot of text on each page along with pictures that help break up the text. This is a great book. I loved the focus on women in science. The book is broken into chapters by topic such as computer scientists and inventors. Within each chapter, various women are covered that fit within that field. The book is packed with interesting and educational facts told in an engaging way. At the end of the book is a quiz to test reading comprehension. There is also a short section that describes some career options in different scientific fields as well as a glossary and index. Overall, fantastic book for learning about women in scientific fields throughout history. I loved that there was a collection of well-known women as well as lesser known women who made big contributions to their fields.
