The really impressive thing about this book is that it pulls from all seven (or eight?) of the Harry Potter adventures. I don’t know much about Lego Harry Potter, but the information appears to be based on the Harry Potter film series rather than the book. No real contradictions, but the scenes described are all pretty iconic ones in the films. The book is broken down into sections, which include students, staff, Hogwarts founders, dark wizards, and Order of the Phoenix members. Various information is given about each character such as Hogwarts house, patronus, fun facts, funniest moments, Quidditch position, and epic moments. The only downside of this book is that I’m not entirely sure who the intended audience is. The book references all seven/eight books/films and includes spoilers so I would think you’d want to have read/watched all of them before reading this book. However, if you’ve seen/read all of them, I don’t know why you’d need a character handbook in the first place. It’s all pretty basic information. Still a good book overall. Loved the Lego illustrations. Good book for fans of Lego Harry Potter who want more information on some of their favorite characters. |
