Well, that’s one way to turn people off of pizza, I suppose.
A sad and slightly terrifying book that is meant to be funny, but ends up just making the reading feel guilty about eating. The pizza slices plead for their lives and try to prove that they should not be eaten by demonstrating their various skills. This book is just sad.
The illustrations are decent. Some of them were a little hectic for my taste, with random splotches of color. The “crusty bottom” was a little much for me. I’ll probably be imagining pizza butts every time I even think about pizza for a while now.
Some good puns, especially in the fruit and veggie section. But the ending was just sad. Not really a fan of anthropomorphic food books.
