| Good intro to the basic plot and characters of The Lego Movie 2. This is a Level 1 reader for those learning to read. The one-page “chapters” are very short and consist of a few sentences. Nice, simple sentences and relatively simple vocabulary. A little bit choppy because of this, but overall it was good. Pictures were decent. Some are clearly used more than once, but there were still fun and interesting. I especially enjoyed the dinosaurs. Coffee-drinking dinosaurs are where it’s at. At the end of the book is a short reading comprehension quiz as well as a simple index to get young readers accustomed to using such reference tools. There is also a parent guide in the back with tips and ideas on helping children learn to read. Goodreads |
