| 5 stars Another magnificent book in the Hilda series. I started out watching the Netflix adaptation, loved it, and decided to go back and read the books. This is the first one I read the book for first instead of watching the episode so it was very fun to dive into a new adventure without knowing where it would end up. Splendid story that really emphasizes what a wonderful and caring character Hilda is. I just love her and the insanely strange places she winds up, all the while collecting a cast of fascinating characters. As with the previous books, great illustrations filled with their own special brand of humor and magic. Can’t wait to watch the corresponding episode and then jump right in to the next book.
