This book. Oh my gosh, wow.
Okay, so when I first started reading this book, I was immediately intrigued by the concept of the storm beasts and all of that. It was a creative concept and I liked the writing.
Then as I kept reading, it just got more and more in-depth and I just dived in headfirst. I was all in as the scope of the story expanded further and further. It went places I wasn’t expecting, providing an amazing reading experience that had me fully engaged the entire time. This book is like no other I have ever read. It was just perfect.
I really connected with Mina’s character and easily got caught up in her journey to figuring out how to be a better leader while still remaining true to herself.
This was just a great overall book with solid writing. Interesting, inspiring story, wonderful cast of characters, exciting concept and environment, and just all around amazing- ness.
I haven’t read anything else by Durst but I’m hoping to rectify that soon. Also, not sure what the trajectory of this story is but I would love for it to have a sequel.
Definitely recommend this to fantasy-lovers and shy/quiet people alike. It’s an inspiring story that is as motivational as it is entertaining. Quiet voices can change the world too.
