| In general, when I read a book, I like to go in knowing basically nothing about it. I try to go in without any expectations and just let the story unfold. I saw this book on various lists of books to read and I liked the cover so I picked up a copy at the library without knowing much about it. Oh. My. Gosh. This is hands down the best best BEST book I have read this year. I absolutely loved it! The artwork is amazing. The dialogue is adorable. And that story. The development, the characters. Everything is so beautiful and amazing and I just can’t get enough of it. Full disclosure, literally as soon as I finished the book, I looked into how much it would be to purchase a copy. By the last page, I knew this was a book that I wanted to keep in my life. Everything about it is so perfectly amazing. I just cannot say enough good things about this book. Absolutely fantastic. This is a feel-good book that has just enough drama to keep the story interesting. I always try to take my time reading graphic novels, but I was so hooked from the first page that I started it before I went to sleep last night and finished it this morning. I couldn’t help it. I just got so wrapped up in the story and the characters. I can tell this is a book that I will want to read again and again. While I wait for my copy to arrive, I’ve already requested more books by Jen Wang from the library. I think I have just found a new favorite author to add to the list. Goodreads |
