I have not read any of the Mighty Jack books before this but I love Zita the Spacegirl. I was kind of bummed when the trilogy was over, but was very excited to see that she was in a mash up with Jack.
This was such a cool book. Despite the fact that I was not familiar with Jack before I read this book, it was pretty easy to catch on to most of what was happening. At the beginning of the book are short recaps on both of the previous stories, which helped. While there were clear plot points and characters I didn’t understand the importance of, the main plot was easy to follow.
The thing that really stood out in this book was that the artwork. It was absolutely gorgeous. I especially loved the color schemes used.
The story itself was highly entertaining and I really enjoyed it. The ending was a bit of a surprise, but tied up things nicely.
This was such a great read. I’m also intrigued by Jack, Maddy, and Lilly’s adventures so I am planning on going back to read the previous Mighty Jack books.
