A fun book about a separated set of twins who end up finding each other again only to find out one is a vampire and one is a human. I picked this up at a used book store without realizing it’s the third book in a series. However, I was able to read it easily without having any background. The author does a good job explaining what happened in the previous books and hinting at things, which allows it to be read without knowledge of the previous books. However, the series as a whole is probably better if you read them in order.

The story itself was really interesting. I’m not sure what the other two books were about, but this one seems the most interesting as it deals with the twins trying to figure out who their birth parents are and how one of them is a human and one is a vampire. I’m really curious about the whole genetics aspect of this and may continue to series solely because of it.

Overall, the book was good. Entertaining and fun read. Some things felt a bit simplified (there’s absolutely no consequence to their little snooping escapade? was it really that easy to sneak in?), but that’s probably just me coming at it from an adult perspective. The story itself still works, it just seemed like a few ends weren’t tied up.

Good easy read that was unique and entertaining.
