An okay read.
I really enjoyed Ephron’s I Feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman, but this one just felt boring. Many of the stories are very specific to Ephron’s lifestyle, which makes them difficult to relate to. Some of the anecdotes are slightly interesting, but not necessarily something I want to read about in a book. In many of them, Ephron shares her views and opinions, which wasn’t very interesting to me. The book was very dated and rather dull.
This was a pretty quick read and worked well for a low stress reading experience. I did enjoy the sections on fading memory such as “I Remember Nothing” and “Who Are You?”. “What I Won’t Miss” and “What I Will Miss” gave a bittersweet ending to the book.
