After how much the last two books dragged on, I was hoping for a big final resolution in this one to tie up all the lose ends. However, I found the ending pretty lackluster. The majority of the resolution has the individuals behind everything incriminating themselves, with the main characters doing one simple thing to foil their plan. For how long it took to set the story up, the ending was not very satisfying. It felt rushed and not well laid out. It’s obvious that most of this series was filler for a rather simplistic story that should have been told in two books.

On top of that, despite this being the final book, it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger with the promise of a short story in Monster High: Ghoulfriends The Ghoul-It-Yourself Book for resolution. After four books of constant filler and nonsense conversations, I am ready to be done with this series and the fact everything wasn’t resolved makes this more of a disappointment.

Still, as with the other books, I enjoyed the illustrations and artwork. They add a great feel to the book although the formatting appeared slightly off in this one with the artwork at the start of the last two chapters seemingly to have been mixed up.

This series had a cool idea for a story, but it was too slow with too much filler to enjoy fully. Okay read overall that was quick and easy, but rather lackluster in the end.
