I loved Amelia Bedelia as a child, but I’ll be honest, there were tons of references I didn’t understand. I specifically remember not seeing what she did wrong when she was told to “draw the drapes”. Still I loved the books and Amelia Bedelia’s goofy antics.
The Young Amelia Bedelia series is a wonderful way to bring this beloved character to a new generation of readers. These books use modern idioms and turns of phrase and Amelia Bedelia’s literal mind to create fun stories.
Entertaining stories and great narration on the audiobook. This collection includes Amelia Bedelia’s First Day of School, Amelia Bedelia’s First Valentine, Amelia Bedelia’s First Apple Pie, and Amelia Bedelia’s First Field Trip. The stories are fun, lighthearted, and humorous.
I absolutely adored this collection. Glad to see Amelia Bedelia is still going strong.
