Another fangtastic adventure at Camp Mwhaaa-haa-ha-a-watha.
I’ve read this series a bit out of order as my library no longer has the second book (rip, lost library books), so I’m reading this one before getting a copy of book 2. However, while it’s probably helpful to read them in order, each adventure is self-contained and can be read on its own while still being enjoyable.
Things heat up (literally) in the series when Geeky Girl’s grandmother, the evil Madame Mako drops in as the camp’s celebrity guest, along with her volcano lair. The campers are challenged with an evil task in the hopes of taking over Madame Mako’s evil empire.
A very fun and engaging read that builds off the previous stories, while still having a unique plot of its own. Friendships develop, contraband pets stay hidden, and the characters figure out what it means to be evil for each of them.
Humorous, adventurous, and fun. A great continuation of the series. Will be reading book 4 next then hoping to track down a copy of the second book. Perfect for fans of the My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish series with its own unique and evil spin.
