A fast-paced adventure filled with action, mystery, family, and friendship. The next generation of superheroes for new readers and lifelong fans. There’s a great balance to the amount of action to growth and reflection in this book. The story moves along quickly but there is also plenty going on internally. Also, Tai’s relationship with his grandmother was so touching.
Great for young readers, even if they are not familiar with the Green Lantern Corps. This book introduces and expands on the storyline without requiring previous knowledge.
Parts were a bit predictable, but as it’s aimed toward kids this isn’t necessarily bad. The pacing and action made up for it and kept the reader engaged even if they suspected what was coming.
Great artwork and characters. Hoping this storyline continues. Would love to see more of Tai’s adventures. (Also, secretly want more of Tai’s grandmother’s backstory as the Green Lantern. What an awesome character!)
