Despite your thoughts on the musical itself (I personally am very conflicted), this book is beautiful. After one of the most well-known songs from the musical, Dear Evan Hansen, this is a gorgeously illustrated edition of the lyrics of “You Will Be Found”.
Sarah Coleman‘s artwork is phenomenal and perfectly captures the essence of the lyrics. Loved the ink spatters, silhouettes, and natural elements. The art at first appears simple, but there is such beauty in the use of light, color, contrast, and shape that it is at once lovely, hopeful, and soothing. Absolutely breathtaking and pairs perfectly with the lyrics.
A truly lovely book with a heartfelt message of hope and resilience. This is a powerful little reminder for anyone who has ever felt lost and alone, and a call to action to come together to be there for one another.
