A captivating series featuring dynamic characters, mysterious conspiracies, and gorgeous scenery. As with the previous books, the artwork in this one is absolutely stunning. I am always blown away with the details of the art. Whether its fight scenes, deep conversations, or scenery shots, each panel is so well done. It is a pleasure to look at and really brings the story to life.
On top of that, the story itself is so enthralling. What started out as a simple adventure in the first book has quickly spiraled into a whole new world of intrigue. I am always fascinated to find out who we will meet next and what lies in store for our collection of characters.
An entertaining read that I can never get enough of. I have been reading the e-books through the library, but I already know I am going to splurge at some point and pick up the boxed set of the physical books. They are brilliant and beautiful. Just the sort of series I’d like to revisit again and again.
