This audiobook was the perfect length for a recent car trip and definitely made the drive more enjoyable.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this. It contains four speeches/essays/poems, all of which are beautifully-written, persuasive, and wonderful. The book was made even better by having Gaiman read it himself. There is something magical that happens when a writer reads their own words and I find this especially true with Gaiman. I’ve listened to a few of his audiobooks and it is always a pleasure.
This book was fantastic and I highly recommend it to library-lovers, book nerds, aspiring writers, and anyone else that loves creating and consuming information in any creative form. A remarkable book that is short, but so full of insight.
Now that I’ve listened to the audiobook, I do still want to find a physical copy to see Chris Riddell‘s illustrations.
