I have enjoyed these prequels much more than I initially thought I would.

As with the other stories, this one follows Ashlynn as she gets ready to return to Ever After High.

There is definitely more depth to her character than in the show. I especially liked the dynamic of Ashlynn’s relationship to animals and her veganism. The Ashlynn in this story is also less focused on appearance and is more of a believable character than the stereotyped version in the show.

And just like in the previous prequels, this one includes great set up for future conflict in the actual novels.
