Another adorable story featuring Tameika and her family from Ashley Franklin and Ebony Glenn (with illustrations by Saba Joshaghani).

Similar in style to Not Quite Snow White, this one follows Tameika on a brand new adventure, the expanding of her family. A great story for those expecting the arrival of new siblings or those dealing with some of the changes new members of the family can bring.

The story does not shy away from the frustration and hardship that such changes can bring. But with a little help from the grownups in her life, Tameika learns what it means to be a big sister. Despite the difficulties, the book presents a positive message and a heart-warming ending.

As with the first book, the illustrations are absolutely adorable. I love the style. Very eye-catching and fun.

The story itself is simple while still incorporating elements that are relatable to readers and some exciting bits such as attending the ball.

A lovely little book for fans of Tameika and her world with a valuable lesson woven into the text.
