I understand this is a Step 2 book, but the writing leaves much to be desired. I think you’d have to have seen the Cars 3 movie before reading this book to have any idea of what is going on. The book basically focuses on who each character is, giving a brief description of each. The “plot” is very disjointed and jumps around a lot.

Very simple and easy to read, which is great for a Step 2 book, but it’s pretty boring. Good for kids who love the Cars series and have already seen the Cars 3 movie.
