An ancient treaty, adorable dragons, and a plot that starts with good intentions but takes on a sinister tinge as the stakes are raised and magic and science combine. What more could you want in a graphic novel?
This was a nice first book in a series. It sets out the characters and the world well, establishing all the pieces needed for the adventure to come. Bits dragged for me, but by the end I was hooked and immediately wanted the next book.
The artwork is lovely. Really enjoyed the color schemes chosen and the details.
With themes of loss, new friendships, the intersection of good and evil, and doing the right thing, there’s a lot going on in this book and it really sets up future adventures nicely. We get the tip of the iceberg in this one and I’m looking forward to diving down to see the rest.
