I loved the My Little Pony: The Manga – A Day in the Life of Equestria Vol. 1 so I was really excited to see these two team up again. Welcome to Reef Beach, home to many fantastical residents including ifrits, sea sprites, sirens, kappa, and more. Follow Coral as she makes new friends, deals with her mischievous sister and irritating coworker, and experiences her first major crush. Loved the community of magical beings.
The colors in this book are absolutely stunning. They really make the artwork pop. The character designs were so cool. It was really neat to see the different variations of mythological beings.
Storywise, it was okay. It’s pretty straight forward in terms of crushes, friendship, and family drama. There are definitely some intriguing secrets that will hopefully be explored in the next volume.
Overall, a good read. The art alone makes it worth checking out.
