Being a seer sounds easy enough. But even seers can’t always predict where the future will take them.
A wonderful romance about so much more than falling in love. Ray, a seer with insight to the present, has wanted to be a Council member since she was a child. Laurie, a musician working in his aunt’s bakery, longs for a life of fame. But when they two meet, their goals shift and they must reconsider what they want for their futures.
I started reading this on Webtoon a while ago, but have a bad habit of binging then running out of episodes and forgetting what was happening when more are added. So having the print copy was perfect. The artwork is gorgeous and this story has so much heart!
So much is worked into the story. From the pressure to meet parent’s expectations and always putting others before yourself to the struggle to decide which of your dreams to follow. Each character has their own thing going on and I loved how they interacted and helped one another. Nice themes of friendship, honesty, open communication, and doing what’s right for you in the moment.
Such a sweet story. I loved the universe Stirling created and all of the world-building details visible in the background. Such a fun world to get a glimpse into.
