A nice story about trying new things and not being afraid of a challenge. I liked this book, because it actually gave some advice about how to tackle something new/different. Instead of just saying that you should do your best and not be afraid to fail, it goes a step further and recommends taking a task one step at a time. By breaking the task up into manageable steps, it is less scary and you can gain momentum until you’re ready to do the whole thing. This works for the examples in the book (sledding down a big hill, learning to ice skate), but is also easily generalized to various everyday activities (even for adults). Good book, especially for fans of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.
