This is a nice introduction to Supergirl’s character and her backstory. This is a Step 2 reader for preschool to first grade readers to go through with help. It uses short stories and simple sentences to help those beginning to read. As with many Step 2 books, this one is not a story with a plot per se, but rather an introduction. However, I still found it interesting. It features many superheroes and villains and has nice illustrations. I especially liked Streaky, Supergirl’s super-cat. Nice book for beginning readers, especially those who enjoy superheroes.
