Nice book about facing your fears and not being afraid to try something new. This is a Passport to Reading 1 book, for reading with an adult. It uses short words and simple sentences for beginning readers. Overall, this was a good book. The main thing I didn’t like (and what I don’t like about the majority of the Dinotrux books) was the pictures. They are taken directly from the show and many of them are very blurry. It is often difficult to discern was is happening in the picture. However, the story was good. Told in a very simple fashion that is good for beginning readers but was not too choppy. It was easy to follow. I really liked meeting the new truck, Snowblazer. And I’m a huge fan of Skya so I liked the prominent role she had in this story. |
