This is a good book that gives many helpful suggestions, not only on how to manage stress, but also on how to basically be a better person. While some of the strategies overlap and seem repetitive, each gives a beneficial way of viewing life and the problems it presents. Despite originally being publish in 1997, this book is still relevant today. The suggestions and tips are not dated and are still very applicable. So will I set aside time every day to meditate and write letters to people I appreciate? Probably not. But this book has given me a new way of thinking and prioritizing, which hopefully will help me manage life on a day-to-day basis and potentially make me a more efficient person who is pleasant to be around. |
