A adorable exploration of chemical reactions in everyday life. From baking to cleaning to breathing, Sooy shows how we interact with chemistry every day and how necessary it is to so many different activities.
This is a wonderful introduction to thinking about chemistry for young readers. The simple text points out different chemical reactions that occur all around us such as rusty slides, toasting bread, and eating and digesting food.
The illustrations are adorable.
At the back is a more detailed example of how chemical and physical changes occur while baking bread as well as helpful questions to determine if a chemical reaction has occurred.
A great introduction to chemical reactions for young readers told in simple language. A nice way to start looking for science all around us.
