I really loved the concept of this book. I wasn’t a huge fan of all the romance and high school drama elements (We get it, Evelyn, you love your darn hair.), but the origin of the zombie virus was so unique. I really want to continue the series to find out more about it.

I’m a big fan of zombie books told from the zombie’s point of view. While I didn’t like Evelyn herself that much, her narration was manageable when paired with the action, suspense, and themes of acceptance (of oneself and others). It really worked for this book.

A great addition to the zombie universe, especially for readers who enjoy a twist on the old zombie story.
