A hilarious combo of two adventures in one book. Featuring Wyss-Kuzz aka Klawde, an evil alien warlord cat exiled to Earth, and Raj, a city boy thrown into the wilderness of Elba, Oregon and forced to partake in the horrors of making new friends and surviving nature at Camp Eclipse. The two come together to figure out their new surroundings and make the best of their situations.
A great first book in the series that immediately pulls you in with space travel, cat society, and alien warlords combined with the more relatable human aspects of having to move to a new place. I especially enjoyed Klawde’s chapters. Marciano and Chenoweth really captured the essence of the feline mind. Always scheming, ready with hilarious quips, and full of humorous insight into human appearance, behavior, and social structure, Klawde is the villain you can’t help loving.
Great for fans of The Last Kids on Earth and My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish. Filled with humor, adventure, and some pretty great puns. Robb Mommaerts’ illustrations also pair nicely with the narration and really bring the story to life.
Hilarious read. I’m so ready for book two.
