I’ve found when I really like a book, it’s hard to put into words how great it is. Hence, this will be a relatively short review.
Non-stop adventure. I was hooked from page 1.
This gripping tale features fantastic artwork and a cast of characters that stick with you. A missing Pig Wizard, a reluctant hero, a trusty feline sidekick, and a loyal Galdurian whose race has been thought long-gone. What’s not to love?
I cannot get over how wonderful the artwork is. Beautiful, action-packed, and with such a range of emotions. I especially loved the visual representation of Bea’s anxiety creeping and clinging. It was such a simple yet powerful image.
New friendships, mysterious lore, and a cliffhanger that will have you demanding the next book. Wonderful themes of stepping up to meet a challenge, sticking with friends, and always looking for the light. A captivating book for young readers and the young at heart.
