I watched the anime adaptation and absolutely loved it so of course I had to check out the manga. The first volume did not disappoint.
Plagued with intense stomach pains, Kokoro is staying home again. But today is different. Today she discovers another world on the other side of her bedroom mirror. There she meets other new-arrivals to the castle and a mysterious girl in a wolf mask who sets them a task. They have one year to find a key that will grant them one wish. Until they do, they can use the castle how they see fit.
Such an intriguing story. Well-paced.
Wonderful artwork that perfectly expresses the emotions of the characters.
Themes of friendship, anxiety, bullying, and communication.
Already requested the second volume and can’t wait to read more.
