I received a copy of this book from Simon and Schuster. This book is absolutely phenomenal. I was drawn in at page one.With equal parts sorrow and humor, Backman chronicles the adventures of Ove, a Clint Eastwood type in this Grand Torino-esque story. The writing is magnificent. Backman creates amazing similes and such in-depth characters that they really jump off the page. I love the way that Backman gives just enough details into the character’s lives to show the connections without having to drill the point it. The reader has to think about it.This is one of the best books I have read all year and I look forward to reading more from Backman.
