This is the first book I’ve read in the GraphicScience Biographies series.

The book goes through various events in Mary Anning’s life, sharing interesting stories, connections she made, and some of her wonderful discoveries and contributions to science. Touches on some of the hardships in her life such as being overlooked by many in the scientific community and struggling financially. But through it all, her passion for learning and discovery shines.

Because the book tries to pack in so much information, the transitions are very jumpy. Aspects of scenes are not fully fleshed out before moving on to the next.

At the back is a timeline of events in Mary Anning’s life, a glossary, further resources about Mary Anning and other women in scientific fields, and an index.

A nice overview of Marry Anning’s life in graphic novel format with nice illustrations.
