Adorable, gross, weird, and hilarious. I will start this off by saying that if you don’t like poop jokes and fart humor, you probably shouldn’t read this book. While there are tons of other funny jokes and happenings, there are a decent amount of bodily functions going on (cat and human). As someone who enjoys that style of humor and often uses it with my husband, I found it hilarious and highly relatable, but for those who find it offensive or uninteresting, maybe pick something else. For me, this book was so much fun. I loved the cute art style and adorably weird interactions between Sarah and Stef (and the cats). As someone who has a cat and is in a long-term relationship involving plenty of weird bodily function jokes, I found this book very relatable. From dealing with cat butts, your partner’s weird antics (and sometimes being the weird partner), and awkward social interactions, I could definitely relate to these comics. This book is so goofy and enjoyable with an overall lighthearted tone. At the end is a section of original black-and-white comics redrawn in the current style with color. It was cool to see the transformation while still maintaining its lovable charm. A great read that brought a smile to my face. I’ve already requested the next book from the library. Goodreads |
