The thing that really made this little board book shine is its format. On the cover, Rolly is pictured with adorable googly eyes that actually move. There are also various little windows in the book that transform the characters from muddy to clean and clean to muddy. Very cute.

The thing I didn’t like was the inconsistency. At one point, the text says that Rolly falls into a pond, but the illustration shows him falling into a bucket. Also, there is a typo on one of the pages (pig reunion- “running to be rejoin her fellow piglets). In a book so short, it is kind of disappointing to find a typo. It made the text a little difficult to read, but I think kids would still enjoy it.

Despite that, the book was still entertaining with its cute story and adorable formatting.
