An early chapter book adaptation of My Little Pony: Rarity and the Curious Case of Charity. Rarity is excited for her new apprentice to arrive, but when Charity takes her idolization of Rarity too far, Rarity must figure out how to be the mentor Charity actually needs.

While it’s the same story, the chapters are much shorter, the events and narration are simplified, and there are new illustrations. The book is printed entirely in purple ink, which is a fun detail that is still easy to read.

This is a fine early chapter book. The pace is quite quick. I personally preferred the longer version, but this works as a nice little book for young readers to read on their own. Chapters range from 3 to 9 pages, with most being 5 pages long. This provides plenty of stopping points and the illustrations help break up the text.

A nice little fashion adventure for early readers.
