Ribbon Holder

Supplies:

  •                                                                                            Disinfecting wipes container                                                                                                                          (don’t worry about the goo residue on the outside if you’re going to cover it with paper)
  • Scissors/knife
  • Decorative paper
  • Modge Podge
  • Paintbrush
  • Spools of ribbon
1. Using the knife, carefully slice holes in the side of container (should be the width of the ribbon).

You can wedge the scissors in and push them in all directions to make the hole bigger.

2. Continue making holes all the way down the container. Leave a space between each spool so they can turn independently of each other. You can place a piece of cardboard between them if you want to hold them in place.

3. Cut off the top part (screwy part) of the     container.

4.                                Time
to
decorate!

5. Add a layer of Modge Podge to keep your handiwork in place.

6. Slide in ribbon spools and pull some ribbon through each hole. To do this, unravel some of the ribbon and slide the end through  the inside of the container and out the hole. Then wind up the spool as you maneuver into place so there is no extra loose ribbon in the holder. Continue to spin until the ribbon is tightly held in place.

And there you have it. Instant organization!

Tip: For spool that have a small center, bend a paper clip through the middle to make it a little easier to grab and manipulate.

Bonus Organization:

I also have tons of loose scraps of ribbon laying around. But now there is a super simple way to keep them all in one place.

Take an empty container (I used one for bath beads) and decorate it.

Throw those loose pieces in and conveniently store it on top of your ribbon holder. Now you are all organized and ready to craft (some more).
