A heartwarming story about a friendly witch, her helpful friends, and a beautiful lesson on friendship. This is such an adorable book. My first introduction to Julia Donaldson was The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child books. I then watched the TV adaptations on Netflix. This led me to the TV adaptation of Room on the Broom, which inevitable led to this book. (Also, the Stick Man TV adaptation always makes me tear up a little. I still have to track down a copy of the book at some point.) Such a great book with wonderful illustrations (Yay, Axel Scheffler!) and a calming rhyme scheme. I love this book so much. It is a great one to read again and again. |
