Adapted from Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi‘s Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You

A fantastic adaptation of Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You for a younger audience. This is such a great series to adapt for different age groups and the kids and teens version have both been amazing.

One aspect that is especially fun about the audiobook is that it is narrated by Pe’Tehn Raighn-Kem Jackson. As far as I know, this is the first audiobook I’ve read that’s been narrated by a child and it was a perfect way to make the book more appealing to children.

A great introduction to American history and its racist roots presented in a way that

This one does continue the timeline of events closer to the present and includes the COVID-19 pandemic and the protests following the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

I love how empowering this series is, especially for young readers. It trusts them to learn about history, especially the unpleasant parts, and inspires theme to use that knowledge to make change in the present and for the future.
